Several years ago I created the California Rehab Guide , an online California Drug and Alcohol Rehab Directory. The Guide lists not only rehab facilities, but also attorneys specializing in drug and alcohol related issues, articles, definitions, and related links.
The mission of the California Rehab Guide is to provide an easy to use resource to help people find recovery related help for themself or a loved one and is a free service.
This a free service for end-users and the individuals and organizations posted on the site.
Do you need help finding a facility?
There are many issues to consider when selecting a treatment facility. Many people think cost and geographic location are the primary factors when selecting a facility. While these are important, there are many other factors you need to think about. For instance,
Does the facility ofer detox services?
Do they treat clients with Co-Occuring Disorders?
Do they offer treatment for the family?
What are the qualifications of the treatment team? M.D.'s, Nurses, MFT's, CAADAC?
Is the facility a 12 step model?
Does the facility offer extended care, sober living, and outpatient services?
Do they accept insurance?
Is there a minimum length of stay?
These are just a few of the considerations to keep in mind when selecting a facility. The process can sometimes be overwhelming.
